It is our endeavour to provide you with the best services. At The Printroots our products go through multiple quality checks to ensure that the merchandise you receive is newly minted, in perfect quality, defect-free and undamaged.

We do not accept requests for returns or refunds if the product is delivered in perfect condition. However, if there is a discrepancy in the delivery, i.e. the delivered product doesn’t align with the one order description, or if it has a genuine manufacturing defect, we will be more than open to compensate you for it, granted that product/s are unused, unwashed, defective/damaged, and are returned in saleable condition in with all original packaging, tags and invoices.

Returns and Exchanges

We want you to love what you purchase, but if something isn’t right do let us know. In the unlikely event that something you ordered from The Printroots is damaged or defective, you may return the product (not applicable on fabrics below the quantity of 2 meters). We accept returns of the product within 3 days from the date on which your order was delivered. Please contact us on, where you may let us know your distress about the product. If there is any damage, we would advise you to be as detailed as possible as they are examined for variations/defects when returned. We will then be able to accept your request and verify the refunds. Please do not send back an item without an official verification, in which case no credits or replacement will be provided for the returned item.

The refund shall be made only if they qualify for the conditions mentioned in the clause 1 and 2 below.

The following products are not eligible for return or exchange
a. Merchandise bought on discount which is considered as final sale
b. Fabrics ordered below the quantity of 2 meters.

1. When A Product is Defective or Damaged


1.1.1. In all instances of returns covered under clause 1.2, customer shall get full refund against the returned products.
1.1.2. Discounts on a bulk order valued INR 25000, or above, shall be adjusted on pro-rata basis and shall be applicable on the actual net value of order after return.
1.1.3. The customer is advised to return the package via India Post and send a scanned copy of the receipt through email or whatsapp. Upon confirmation they will be refunded the full amount along with postal charges.
1.1.4. All refunds will revert to the customer’s online wallet at, valid for six months. In case the customer chooses otherwise the refund will be then made to their source bank account (if paid in advance) or via cash (for COD).

1.2. What counts as defects and damages?

1.2.1. A significant amount of inconsistency in terms of prints, colours or textural quality which is visible right at the moment of unpacking the order.
1.2.2. The fabric is found torn and unusable.
1.2.3. If the weave is loose or damaged or torn.

1.3. What does not count as defects and damages?

1.3.1. The digital media translates colours in a vibrant format. The physical appearance of the product may not align precisely with the digital representation, i.e. photographs.
1.3.2. Hand block printed fabrics are prone to bleed colours after the first few washes. The wash care for each fabric is different, and it is mentioned along with the specifications of each product.
1.3.3. Fabrics that are ordered in a quantity of less than 2 meters do not qualify for returns.

1.4. Conditions for Exchange

1.4.1. Items will only be replaced if they are damaged or defected.
1.4.2. If a request for replacement has been made, the fulfilment of that order is subjected to availably of the product in our inventory as of the date when the return is confirmed.
1.4.2. Exchange of products is determined by the net payable price of the item(s), not on MRP.

1.5. Conditions for Returned Products

1.5.1. The product shall have the price tag intact.
1.5.2. The product shall be in a sellable condition, undamaged, unstitched, unused and unwashed.
1.5.3. The original packaging must be intact, along with any receipts or invoices provided with the order.

2. If the customer had a change of mind and/or did not like the product

We permit stitched products to be exchanged. The same cannot be applied for unstitched textile/fabric.

2.1. Refund Policy

In instances where the customer changes their mind about the purchase or the products fail to meet their expectations, the customer will be allowed to return the order, granted that they meet the conditions mentioned in clause 2.2. In such cases, the cost of the shipping will be borne completely by the customer. Furthermore, all returns are subject to quality check at our end. Once the return is confirmed, you will be offered an exchange or refund as per the eligibility of your order. In the case of a refund, the amount will be credited to your account within 2 weeks of the product being returned to the shipping source. Please note that you will not be receiving this amount on your source bank account or via cash, it will available as credit on your Printroots wallet, redeemable within 6 months of time.

2.2. The returned merchandise must qualify for the conditions written below

2.2.1. The product shall have the price tag intact.
2.2.2. The product shall be in a sellable condition, undamaged, unstitched, unused and unwashed.
2.2.3. The original packaging must be intact, along with any receipts or invoices provided with the order.
